Welcome to Connect The Songs (Read Info!)

Hi there, and welcome to the Connect The Songs! room on Turntable.fm! I’m J_Dubb, the original founder of our room and while I may have been the one that started the room, our community as a whole has made it what it is today. Our primary goal in the room is to have fun. We achieve that goal by abiding by the rules we’ve put in place to “connect” as many songs as possible.

If you’re new to turntable.fm in general then you’re probably excited to start clicking things to see what they do and how they work! If that’s the case then your efforts as a DJ would probably be more well-received in a non-themed room. That’s not to say you’re not welcome to DJ here, it’s just that we are a themed room, and as such we have rules and guidelines in place that aren’t found in other non-themed rooms.

Another reason you may not find our room to be a good fit is that we don’t play any specific genre(s). You’ve got to be pretty open-minded to music to fully enjoy the room, and if you’re not then you’re probably not going to have  a great experience here.

If you’re new and you’d still like to give our room a spin, then all we ask is that you read our rules by clicking here before getting up on the decks.

If you’ve logged some miles on turntable.fm and you’ve been in other similar themed rooms, but not this particular one, we still urge you to read up on our rules as it’s possible they vary a great deal from what you’re accustomed to.

If you’ve been in the room for a little bit then you’ve probably already met Holly Robots  and REFEREE.  Holly Robots is our resident room bot. She serves many different needs, the primary of which is queue moderation. REFEREE is a bot coded by WildThingRickVaughn. REFs purpose is to keep track of the connection streak. His code is still a work in progress but he does a good job for the most part as long as the rules are followed. But if you don’t follow the rules be prepared to feel his wrath!
